8 POINT FACE LIFT

The 8 point face lift was popularized by the famous plastic surgeon from Brazil, Dr Mauricio De Maio. He studied the most critical areas of the face that led to the maximum change and coined this treatment. Whilst we agree with the areas recommended for treatment in this 8 point face lift, we feel every patient is different and it needs to be modified accordingly. In reality, the 8 point face lift at No Filter Clinic is our full face balancing treatment which is a far more bespoke treatment that we alter for each patient.
In the traditional 8 point face lift, the following areas are injected:
-Cheeks - 2 injection points
-Tear trough
-Under cheek hollow
-Jawline - 2 injection points
-Corner of the mouth
-Nose to mouth lines - corner of the nose only
As you can see, there are traditional 8 injection points only which may sound great but often we cannot get the best result from injecting a bolus of filler in one needle entry point. The best results are often from building up fine threads of filler as a difference of milli meters can change the final look.

Specialty Treatment Sessions are suitable if you have a specific health issue that need to be addressed.
We recommend new patients to start with an initial consultation. Dr. Qin and her team will perform a holistic assessment on your wellbeing, address your specific health concerns and provide a bespoke treatment and wellness plan tailored to your clinical need, wellness goal, and lifestyle.
Holistic Wellness Sessions are suitable to achieve overall wellness in areas including stress relief, better skin, weight management, and gut health.
Each session may include a combination of acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, medical massage, heat therapy, which can be tailored to your preference, following discussion between you and the clinician.
At No Filter Clinic we prefer to get the best results when we inject by doing slowly in fine threads, not through injecting a fixed amount that you then have to mould into shape. Think of a fine intricate painting, you will get more accurate details if you use a thin paintbrush vs a thick one. Full face balancing, also known as full face rejuvenation or non surgical face lift, is when we assess your entire face and inject filler in various structural areas such as your cheeks, jawline and chin. We strongly recommend everyone considers this full face approach to get the best results and features that are in harmony with your whole face.
We often find that treating one area can have an impact on another so having a full face approach allows us to use this to get you the best possible result. This is a highly bespoke treatment which is completely individual to you. With this approach we initially focus on the structural areas of cheeks/midface, chin and jawline. Think of this as the foundations of a house. We recommend then treating lips, under eyes, noses later as these can be thought of as the ‘interior decoration’ of the house, i.e. the final touches.

What kind of results can be achieved?

Although the results from full face rejuvenation are transformative, we still want patients to look like themselves. People often comment they look like an enhanced version of themselves and nobody has noticed what they have had done but have commented they look good. Every clinic has a different philosophy and at No Filter Clinic we focus on enhancing what you have and working with your anatomy. We don’t believe in making people unrecognizable.

Who is this treatment suitable and not suitable for?

This treatment is brilliant for anyone who is considering treatments in multiple areas of the face or if you feel unsure about what exactly you need and would be open to a whole face approach. This treatment may not be suitable for patients with severe volume loss or significant loss of skin elasticity as the filler may not sit well. This treatment may be coined non surgical face lift but if there is excess skin then it is usually best to get surgery. If you are carrying a lot of excess weight on your face then it may not be suitable for you to get filler as it may make your face appear larger which is not desirable. It is best to come for a consultation to discuss further. If you have a history of anaphylaxis or allergy to wasp stings, fillers may not be suitable for you. This is because you are likely to be allergic to the filler dissolving enzyme. We always have to ensure we are able to dissolve the filler in an emergency (see below for risks and side effects).

What is the recovery/downtime?

On average, structural areas such as cheeks, jawline, chin, temples and noses last for 12-18 months. Lips and nose to mouth lines last 6-12 months. Tear trough filler is somewhere in between at 9-12 months. However, this is an average time and for some people, the filler may dissolve more quickly because of their metabolism and for some people it may last longer. We find that with subsequent treatments, the results often last longer. After the first 2 sessions, you may find you do not need to come back for a couple of years. Please remember, most people need lower amounts of filler in subsequent sessions.
